April 29, 2014
Did some scouting for music video locations today in the same spot we did the photo shoot for The Enemy Of The Sun. We'll finish the photo shoot and begin recording some videos within the next week if the weather cooperates. April 26, 2014 I just finished redoing the song now known as 'Unwinding' with a slightly revised chorus. Hit single to the fullest. Some might call it selling out but all I did was what I do best, intricate wordplay, heartfelt lyrics and an emotional performance over a crazy instrumental. Only one more song to go. April 26, 2014 The photo shoot for The Enemy Of The Sun has been completed. The dark rainy day set the perfect backdrop. In the woods of Maine, along the Kenduskeag Stream sits the remains of an old sewage treatment plant. Vandalized, destroyed by time, forgotten. With the help of my lovely wife, we spent an hour capturing the images to accompany the album. We may go back for more but already have our hands full choosing the perfect cover. April 22, 2014 I just finished recording a theme song I wrote the other day for my man Fame's tattoo shop, Eminence Ink. This shit is fire. Nothing but the best for one of the original knights. This one isn't set to appear on any albums, its currently just a single to promote his business but we'll see what happens. April 19, 2014 Dropped two more for The Enemy Of The Sun. I wasn't impressed with my lyrics or vocal performance on 'Face Your Past' featuring Concept so it was going to get scrapped from the album. However, Concept would have bitch slapped me so rather than feel the back of his gigantic hand, I decided to rewrite two new verses for the song. Fresh off the paper to the mic, written yesterday at work, I recorded the new verses. It made a world of difference. Now this is what I envisioned when I first started work on the song. It's back on the album. I also did the previously unrecorded 'Jurisdiction Of The Heartless', a gritty track about the streets over a Mobb Deep sounding instrumental. The lyrics on this one are probably the darkest on the album, painting a perfect picture of today's ghetto and its inhabitants. With these tracks down, it leaves only a couple left to re-record and the album is complete. April 15, 2014 I did the re-recorded version of 'Locked Outta Heaven' today which had no changes, just needed to perform it a little better. Mission accomplished. Although my voice is now completely gone. Got a bit emotional on this one, I tend to do that when attacking religion and son of a bitch, my wife just informed me that Bruno Mars had a single by the same name. Although I wrote mine first, I guess I'll be changing the name of this one. April 5, 2014 When I did 'More Than That' I figured it would be my only song like that. Turns out it wasn't. It was only the beginning. Today I recorded one on a similar type instrumental with more sexually explicit lyrics that puts the dirty lines in 'More Than That' to shame. It was recorded with the intention of being a theme song for a friend of mine who's a tattoo model but it looks like its a bit too sexual. So I've re-written the chorus to exclude her name and it'll now appear on The Enemy Of The Sun. This one's got hit single written all over it. The new working title is either 'Stay Grinding' or 'Unwinding', haven't decided yet. March 14, 2014 I re-recorded 'If I Was Locked Up' for The Enemy Of The Sun album, a track dedicated to Royal Kingdom recording artist Advokate who is serving time right now. The original rough draft recording was good but the vocal performance on this new version is one of my most emotional displays ever. February 25, 2014 'Warriors Independence' is complete. Three days, three verses but it's finally done. This is possibly the most complicated song I've ever recorded but it's worth it in the end. It will most likely find its way onto The Enemy Of The Sun. February 24, 2014 This morning I recorded the second verse for 'Warriors Independence'. One more to go. Remind me to never do one of these fast songs again. February 16, 2014 Just finished recording my first verse for 'Warriors Independence', a tongue twisting track off of The Enemy Of The Sun. This is easily one of, if not the hardest song I've ever recorded so I plan on doing it one verse at a time, something I've never done before, in order to lay it perfectly. Both my voice and my breathing are shot for the night. February 7, 2014 I dropped my verse on a new track for The Enemy Of The Sun album with two featured verses from Royal Kingdom original's Gambino and Concept. It is a hard ass punchlines joint with amazing verses from all three of us. It has yet to be titled and may still feature a fourth verse by another Kingdom original, Inasoul. Either way, this one is a banger. February 4, 2014 Another one down for The Enemy Of The Sun, 'State Of Affairs', a political track attacking the people running this country as well as the people living in it. One word, wow. This is some powerful shit. Prepare to be offended by the truth. February 2, 2014 Two more songs for The Enemy Of The Sun. Both about battered women, only one of them is likely to make the final cut. 'He's A Coward' is dedicated to women in abusive relationships too scared to leave the man that's ruining their lives, a slower, more heartfelt song. The other 'Repercussions', is slightly more aggressive and less understanding. The first verse follows an alcoholic who gets abusive when he drinks and forgets the harm he does. The second verse deals with the woman's side of it who knows nothing else so chooses to stay with him. There was no rough copy of these songs so I took an extra long time to get them both perfect. Unfortunately, I doubt the message will ever get through to them. January 21, 2014 Another song complete for The Enemy Of The Sun. The dubover vocals for 'I Awoke To A Life' are now finished, making it the only song on the album that is one long verse rapped straight through. I also recorded 'Under The Crescent Moon' for The Enemy Of The Sun as well, three longer verses of deep ass poetical lyrics spit over a fast grand piano instrumental. This may end up being one of my only songs that I don't lay a dubover track on. It's done, but it isn't really needed and may be cut on the final mix. January 19, 2014 'I Awoke To A Life'. Four minutes and forty seconds, no chorus, no breaks, just a man wondering how he wound up here. Recording these kind of songs is always tricky. So I tried something new. I recorded it three times, threw all three versions on the computer and edited them down to one, taking the best parts of each track. I then went back and re-rapped a couple lines to make them clearer or change the rhythm. After a lot of work the main track is done but I'm tired of editing, I'm going to record the dubover track separate rather than splicing it together like I'd planned. January 17, 2014 I only had a half hour in the studio today but that was enough, 'No Prisoners Taken' is complete which pretty much wraps up Lost In The Night with perhaps another redo or two. It was originally set to appear on one of The Days Of A Knight albums but was moved onto the Lost series to replace '300 Lives' which was featured on Rumorz Of War therefor not really needed on Lost In The Night as well. It's only three minutes long but damn, it's three minutes of fire that needs to be rewound. January 16, 2014 Busy day in the studio today, four songs, well one of them had to be recorded twice because it disappeared after being saved. I started off with 'Just Another Memory' for The Enemy Of The Sun which features Santo on the chorus. I haven't decided yet if this is the rough copy or the final recording set to appear on the album but it's sounding like this is the one. I moved onto Lost In The Sands with 'The Cells Of Solitude Remix' which features Santo as well. After mysteriously deleting itself, I later recorded it again but am not nearly as happy with it as I was with the one that got deleted which was perfect. A few months back I re-recorded a song off Urban Legacy Vol I called 'Graphite Tears' and changed the chorus and title because quite frankly the idea of graphite tears was too good for the song seeing as it was three random verses thrown together. I later wrote 'Graphite Tears Remix' but recently decided to make the remix the original and change the first one. When I re-recorded it, it became 'Changing Of The Tides' but I changed the beat as well. Now I'm trying to keep my albums as close to their original form as possible so I went back and redid it yet again on its original instrumental and tried to make it sound as authentic as possible, even using a slightly higher pitched voice that I had back then. Somehow I pulled it off. This was when I realized 'The Cells Of Solitude Remix' was gone, threw a little temper tantrum and then recorded it again. The last song of the night was a re-recorded version of 'Between The Lines' off of Urban Legacy Vol II. I always hated my vocals on the song and wanted to make them clearer so the thought provoking lyrics could be better understood. Mission accomplished, I finally won't skip over what always should have been an incredible song. January 12, 2014 Today I recorded 'Last Breath' for Lost In The Sands which features Santo on the chorus. It was first done back in 2002 for the original Lost In The Sands album but I was never happy with it. For this new version I decided to slow it down and give it a softer sound than the original recording. Although it was written to be slightly more aggressive, this gentler take on it captures the lyrical content perfectly. January 11, 2014 I just finished recording what are perhaps my two funkiest tracks ever, both for Lost In The Sands. 'How Long Can I Hide' originally featured Larysa on the chorus but her vocals were lost so when the time came to redo that song for the new album, Santo filled in and absolutely blessed this beat. It features a melodic flow similar to some of my older material. 'The Souls Of Man' was recorded once for Lost In The Sands already and had one verse from me with the following verses being handled by former Royal Kingdom artists Rahmael and Revenant. I used our old vocals from the original recording and matched them up with Ace Of Base's 'Cruel Summer' instrumental which came out incredible except for the fact their verses weren't nearly fast enough to fit the beat. So I used my other two verses for the song and made it a solo track. Dope. As. Hell. Enough said. January 7, 2014 First time back in the studio in over a month. I recorded the Bullet Away Remix which features Royal Kingdom artist Gambino. Luckily I only had to spit two verses because my voice started to go after the first one, out of practice. November 28, 2013 Thanksgiving, but I don't take breaks. I dropped three tracks tonight, two new ones and a re-recorded version of 'Past Today' for Urban Legacy Vol II. I hated the original but loved its potential so rather than scrapping it from the album as originally planned, I reworked it by changing the chorus slightly and rapping it again on the same beat, this time I'm happy with it. But first I did two songs for The Enemy Of The Sun, 'And With A Look' which features Santo and 'Face Your Past' which features an amazing verse from Royal Kingdom original Concept. November 26, 2013 When the external hard drive broke a couple years ago, I lost a ton of instrumentals and a number of songs. Today I replaced one of them, 'Wish Your Life Away' off of Urban Legacy Vol III which features Santo on the chorus. I was hesitant to do the song and came close to scrapping it from the album because the beat is slower than I like but after completing the song in 45 minutes, it not only belongs on the album but is a standout track. November 24, 2013 I dropped two more tracks today and laid the dub over vocal track on the final version of 'More Than That' which was recorded a week or so ago. I recorded 'Telling You Goodbye Again' for Dead In A Dream II which features Santo on the chorus and has a radio friendly single quality to it. I also recorded an updated version of 'Streets To Survive' for Lost In The Night with Santo on the chorus as opposed to me singing the original one back in 2003. The song is much better now. November 13, 2013 'The Devil's Chamber' for the second Dead In A Dream album is complete, a hardcore punchlines track proving once again why I don't lose. I've also begun work on putting Santo's choruses on their instrumentals for numerous projects including Dead In A Dream II, Lost In The Sands and The Enemy Of The Sun. November 9, 2013 Laid two tracks today, another rough copy for The Enemy Of The Sun and a previously unrecorded song for Dead In A Dream II. 'My Destiny' was one of the later tracks I'd written for the double disc set and features an amazing chorus sung by Ralph. The Enemy Of The Sun song is currently titled 'Misguided' although that might change. It is a politically fueled track taking shots at society as a whole over a fast piano instrumental that sounds like it's taken straight from an 80's soft rock song. I still have to lay the dub over vocals for it if I decide to do a dub track. November 5, 2013 Dead In A Dream II is once again in the works. I was halfway through the double disc set when my recorder died years ago. I left it at the 18 completed tracks but was never really happy with them. What should have been incredible was only decent so I'm redoing the entire thing. Today marks its rebirth. The previously unrecorded 'Vivid Memories' and 'He Picks Up The Bottle Again' are complete. 'Vivid Memories' saw three chorus changes before I was done and a new section in the third verse to cut out some irrelevant lines, the problem with recording an album nearly a decade later. 'He Picks Up The Bottle Again' remains as it was, a heartfelt story about alcohol and suicide. Sorry I never got to say goodbye Michael. October 28, 2013 After three long years, I'm finally back in Willimantic, even if it is only for a couple days. Gambino and Concept both laid a couple verses for the upcoming Enemy Of The Sun album, all of which came out incredible. Easily two of the best rappers ever. Santo, the newest edition to the Kingdom, dropped ten choruses in one session, truly amazing work from an amazing singer. Of course now I've got a lot of work ahead of me but it's worth every second. The Kingdom lives on. October 22, 2013 Back at it again. Just finished the redone version of the 'Angelic Essence' Remix for the Lost In A Dream album. The song was recorded only a few weeks after the original Angelic Essence was released back in 2001 and featured Concept and Edicto as well as my opening verse which was almost the same as the original with only a few minor variations. My updated verse features new lyrics crafted around the old ones yet keeps the same rhyme pattern. It was already a hit, I just made it better. October 22, 2013 Freedom's nothing more than a 'Bullet Away', freedom from our dreams, freedom from our past, freedom from ourselves. Yet suicide is not an option so we fight for our life instead. 'Bullet Away' is the plea from a desperate man trying to become what he was meant to be. Another track down for The Enemy Of The Sun. October 14, 2013 The rough draft of 'Locked Out Of Heaven' is complete, an intense track over a choir questioning mankind's views on religion. It'll take a few hours for my voice to recover after this one. October 1, 2013 Just finished 'Test The King', the last thing you want to do. When I first started rapping for crowds it was that hardcore murderous shit full of punch lines, so every album I gotta go back to my roots and let them know not to test me. September 26, 2013 The rough copy of 'More Than That' is complete, an upbeat club type joint for The Enemy Of The Sun. The instrumental is unlike anything I've ever rapped on before, very electronic and 105 bpm's, most rap songs are roughly 75 bpm's nowadays. This is probably one of the hardest tracks I've ever recorded but worth every breath. September 24, 2013 Back on the mic. Man my vocal chords are feeling it, I'm a bit out of practice, I remember the days of recording three or four tracks in a row. I dropped the rough copy of 'Secluded' for the new Enemy Of The Sun album, which may become the final version of the song because it came out that good. April 6, 2013 Today marks the first day of recording for The Enemy Of The Sun. I've decided to do a preliminary recording first, listen to it on repeat, memorize it, then go back in the studio and record the real thing. First time I've ever tried this method for a whole album but I've used it on songs before and they always come out better. So the rough drafts of "If I Was Locked Up" and "Turn Of Events" were both completed today, not bad for the first take. "If I Was Locked Up" was the first track recorded for the album in honor of my homie Donnie facing 10 years. "Turn Of Events" is slated to be the first track on the album. February 5, 2013 Twenty two tracks for the new album have been written and produced. I hope to see twenty of them make the final cut but realistically my songs are always too long and I'll only be able to fit eighteen. This one is something special. February 4, 2013 I'm not a singer but I always wanted to be. The fact that I can't sing put a stop to that. But I'm finally working on an R&B album. Written and produced entirely by me, I introduce to you, Santo Motta. First three tracks are ready to go. With his vocal talents, we got one amazing album on the way. January 27, 2013 Just compiled two albums I forgot to record, no, three. In 2004-2005 I wrote a ton of bonus songs that never got used so I've selected 18 of the best and created Hour Of Need. In 2007 I started writing The Sands Of Time II but stepped away from the rap game about six songs and a bunch of random verses in. I plan on starting over again and creating a whole new Sands Of Time II from scratch, what already exists will be an accompanying bonus album. Around the same time I also wrote Nightmare Awoken but never picked any beats or laid any vocals. It looks like I may produce this album as well and record that in the very near future. And with all the Days Of A Knight albums still left to record, I've got my hands full. January 12, 2013 Busy working on a new album, first one since 2006, almost seven years. All new lyrics, all original beats produced by yours truly. Fifteen songs written and ready to go with more to come. Expect guest appearances from Willimantic legends Gambino, Concept, Presy Jay and Voztra as well as newcomer Santo. I was once a Knight. Now, I'm THE ENEMY OF THE SUN. June 16, 2012 Another long ass day but I'm back in the studio doing what I do best. Still working on that Lost In A Dream album with a remixed version of Concept's "Easy Come Easy Go" off his solo debut. He planned a remix that was set to feature myself and Gambino so ten years later I finally threw it together with new verses from me and Gambino. Lost In The Life needed a little touch up work, with most of it completed already, I re-recorded what I hope to be the last track for it, "The Path I Walk", which appeared on the original as Heart On My Sleeve but now has a new beat and new chorus. June 15, 2012 Long day, it's 2AM and after a ten hour day at work, I just finished recording a couple tracks. I re-recorded "No Hesitation" for Lost In A Dream with a new intro for the album. The new sound is much harder than the original and a perfect way to kick off the album. And another song down for Lost In A Dream. "In The Dungeon", a re-recording of a 2002 unreleased gem with fellow Willimantic legend, Rahmael, one of the greatest rappers ever, so even ten years later it's still hard to compete on a track with him. June 6, 2012 I started work on my new summer novel today. Made it onto page two so I got a long ways to go. June 4, 2012 Took advantage of the cold weather today and dropped three tracks, without breaking a sweat I might add. Two of them were re-recordings for Urban Legacy Vol III where the original versions were a poorer quality and scratchy for some reason. I shortened both of them so I can fit another song on the album and keep up the 19 track tradition set with the first two volumes. "As It Slips Away" features Ralph singing the chorus and bridge and will close out the album. "Revolution's Beyond Us" is an intense political track which is unfortunately a bit dated due to its subject matter. I scrapped the original chorus in favor of repeating the title to make the track a little more catchy. Moving on to Urban Legacy Vol I, I recorded "Changing Of The Tides" which was Graphite Tears on the original release but I was never happy with it despite the great title. I made a remix for it a few years later to replace the original but decided to stick with lyrics from that time period. With a new chorus and a new beat, Changing Of The Tides was born. It features some previously unused backing vocals by Larysa on the intro and the chorus. May 30, 2012 Recorded two tracks today and yeah I'm a little out of practice so my voice is damn near gone after three hours in the studio. I re-recorded Born To Become for the Urban Legacy Vol III album, the original version had some flaws including length and quality so i reworked the beat and shortened the track by about 45 seconds. I also recorded I Closed My Eyes for the Lost In The Sands album which nearing completion and coming out better than I could have ever hoped. May 16, 2012 Just finished recording "If I Die Tomorrow" for Lost In The Sands over Joan Osbournes 'One Of Us' instrumental. It was written in early January of 2001 but had never been recorded before. I wrote a new chorus for it and altered some of the lyrics. I might see about putting a singer on the chorus with some background ad-libs. May 15, 2012 I recorded "Lonely Journey" today for the Lost In The Sand album. It was written back in June of 2001 and recorded but never released. I changed the chorus and used a Robbie Williams instrumental to keep with the non-rap theme of the album. The final product is even better than I'd hoped for. May 12, 2012 I recorded my first song in a few years years today. I haven't lost it, it only took about 30 minutes to do. "Separate Ways" was on the original Urban Legacy Vol II but was scrapped and replaced with another song because I wasn't happy with the way it turned out. It had been recorded on a rock instrumental and the quality was awful so I changed the beat and added a little intro. The new version of Separate Ways is going back on Urban Legacy Vol II. April 30, 2012 I'm finally back to music. It's been awhile but I have some unfinished business. With The Days Of A Knight series needing to be recorded, as well as the second half of Dead In A Dream II, Nightmare Awoken and a few redone versions of some of my older material, I got a lot to do. When I'm done, I'll have thirty albums under my belt. April 18, 2012 I am currently working on the crime novel "Collector's Oasis" about a toy collector who travels the country looking for great finds at yard sales and thrift shops to sell online until a child that could have been his needs a heart transplant. To save her, he'll cross the line and risk everything he's worked for. February 13, 2012 I'm currently working on a complete re-write of my first novel, Fringe Of The Canvas. I recently finished the complete overhaul of Poverty's Poetry and finished the final edit of The Infected. I have also written 40 poems for the Content In The Rain collection from Poverty's Poetry's Matthew Morris character as well as his first album, For The Chance To Change. I'm currently producing the instrumentals for that album and beginning to record the songs. February 1, 2011 I've started work on a new novel based on a kid who moves to Florida with his family for his little sister's drug rehab and joins the high school football team with his cousins and new found friends while continuing the search for his long lost childhood sweetheart. January 1, 2011 For the past two months I've been editing The Infected and doing a complete overhaul of Poverty's Poetry. It was originally told in first person past tense but has been switched to first person present tense. On top of that, I have also deleted an entire chapter, added almost ten thousand words and plan on changing the ending as well. Nov 12, 2010 Just finished my first zombie book in a three part series entitled The Infected. The first book follows seventeen year old Noah through the first couple days of the end of the world. The first book in The Infected series, Blood Of The Fallen, is a little over 300 page, I hope to cut it down to about 275 or so. October 21, 2010 I started a new as yet untitled young adult book today. It follows a seventeen year old high school student through a pending zombie apocalypse. September 13, 2010 For the first time in nine months, I got back into the studio and recorded a new song, well sort of. While I'm still retired, my alter ego Matthew Morris from the Poverty's Poetry series is hard at work on his first album, For The Chance To Change. With no more digital recorder at my disposal I was forced to bring it back to the old days and record on cassette just as my character must. 'Imagine' was the first track recorded for the album which is actually a remake of the very first song I ever recorded back in the summer of 1998. September 12, 2010 Just finished writing the third book in the Poverty's Poetry series which picks up right where book two leaves off. I was hoping to beat my record of writing a book in three weeks and almost succeeded but decided to add a few chapters at the end and ended up completing it at exactly the three week mark. August 22, 2010 Today I started work on the third installment of the Poverty's Poetry series. Whereas the first two stuck to the original script of the show, this one explores the time between episodes 7 and 8. August 11, 2010 Finished writing Poverty's Poetry : One Chance To Change. This is the second book in the series. July 31, 2010 Started work on One Chance To Change today which is the second installment in the Poverty's Poetry series. July 3, 2010 Today I started my first book in the Poverty's Poetry series which is loosely based on my life. After writing the first 30 episodes of the television series I decided to adapt the screenplay into a book series. June 25, 2010 Started work on a new book today, no title yet. This is my first 'Chick Lit' novel. 2009 February 17, 2009 Three more tracks done for Lost In The Sands which brings that album to the halfway point. I recorded the new versions of "Last Breath" and "Hear The Streets Cry" which both originally appeared on the original Lost In The Sands but have been redone on different beats with altered choruses. I also redid "The Souls Of Man" from the original The Sands Of Time release which features Revenant and Rahmael on it on a different beat. February 15, 2009 Today I recorded "World Of Shadows" for Lost In The Sands. It was originally recorded with three verses but never released, on this version the second verse has been taken out and will appear on something else because the topic was a little off compared to the other two verses. February 13, 2009 Another three down today including "Wish Your Life Away", the final track left to record for UL III. As well as "Mission Complete", the opening track for Days which was originally a spoken word but made into a long verse instead over a piano instrumental. I also recorded what will probably be the final track for Days, "Death Wish". So that completes two more albums. February 11, 2009 Today I recorded one of my hardest songs yet, "It's The Way" for UL III. It's basically a follow up to "Never Be Enough", a song for my wife where I sing the chorus. It came out perfect. I also recorded a verse for a track called "All I Had" for the first Days Of A Knight album. The track is a remake of an old song of mine which featured Concept and D-Tru, they appear on the updated version as well along with Last Chance, Rahmael and Uzi Eye, who were all members of the original Royal Kingdom crew, The Phenoms. February 9, 2009 I've had an infected cut in my mouth for about a week now and talking has been nearly impossible let alone rapping but today I decided work through the pain. I started with adding a verse and chorus to an old track I did with Concept. I threw on another verse from an unreleased Concept track, did a quick chorus and recorded those to make "The King's Off Guard" for Lost In A Dream. I left my first verse and 'Cept's verse alone. Afterwards I did an alternate version of "Lonely Moment" which originally appeared on Rumorz Of War and featured Genero, Concept and Perceval. I used my original verse, a verse from the planned remix and another unused verse, all on the original beat with a modified chorus. That completes Lost In A Dream. February 1, 2009 I dropped two tracks today, both for Lost In A Dream. The first being an alternate version of "Knight's Doctrine" off of 2002's Rumorz Of War album, it originally featured Revenant and Pathologic. The new version is a solo with three verses by me and a spoken piece by Path at the end, recorded on the original beat. The second track was the alternate version of "Silent Confessions" off of Dead In A Dream from 2002 as well. I had originally written six verses for the song but only used three, this version is the other three verses with the same beat and same chorus on it. January 31, 2009 The Days Of A Knight double albums have become way too long to a point where they can not fit on a double disc so it has now been broken up into 6 parts with a possible other 2 on the way. The first one will be subtitled Future Imperfect. As of right now it is 15 tracks spanning from 1999 to the end of 2000. The second chapter is subtitled In Biblical Times and right now has 15 songs from early 2001. January 30, 2009 Two more tracks down today. I just finished up two songs for Lost In A Dream, both re-recordings of old songs of mine that I was not happy with. "Instincts" and "Eternal Sentence", both came out a hell of a lot better than their original counterparts. Both were written during the Dead In A Dream / Beyond The Life time period. January 29, 2009 Today I did the intro for the Beyond The Life album featuring Larysa. I have some speaking parts and she sings back up vocals on it. A beautiful way to start a classic album, it was the last track needed to complete the album. January 28, 2009 Two tracks completed today, a song for The Days Of A Knight entitled "I'm Blastin'" which features verses from Royal Kingdom legends C- Write/Genero and Gambino/No Nucks. I also recorded "Fame Tattoo", a one verse and chorus track for my man's tattoo parlor, basically an advertisement over a dope ass beat. January 23, 2009 Today I recorded "Dragging Me Down", the last song recorded for Heat Of The Moment. It's over a rock beat and I perform a rock style singing chorus on the track. January 15, 2009 Today I got back to the studio for the first time in months and recorded one of the final songs left for Urban Legacy Vol III. The song is called "Where Do We Go" and features Chad Hartley from the band Sons Of Leo on the chorus. January 13, 2009 Took a break for the holidays while I was working a lot. Now it's time to get back to this rappin' shit. 2008 October 21, 2008 Recorded "One Rapper" for Urban Legacy Vol III. Some killa punchlines over Chris Brown's Gimme Dat beat. October 6, 2008 Damn I'm still breathless from this one. I just finished "Still Bring It", a crazy punchlines track. One three minute verse and a chorus that carries out to the end of the track. This one is intense man. You'll definitely see it on Urban Legacy Vol III. One of the hardest tracks I've recorded in a while. October 4, 2008 I recorded "Broken Smile" today, a song that will most likely appear on Urban Legacy Vol III. It's a song about a couple I used to work with and he broke her heart. I wrote the song pretty much the day he dumped her, she never heard it. September 28, 2008 I'm running it again. Today I recorded "Give Up My Heart" for Lost In The Moment. That album came into being about a month ago when I realized I had a bunch of unrecorded material from the Heat Of the Moment time period so I threw about 15 of 'em together and got a new Lost album. I needed a male singer on the chorus of this one which I do not have so I had to sing it myself and man do I hate that. Overall, it's a hot ass song written about three different girls back at the end of 2002. Now I just wish I could remember exactly who each verse was written about. 2008 - September 17 Today Proph recorded "The Bottom" which will most likely appear on Legacy III. It's about being stuck at the bottom in life, a really hot song. 2008 - September 14 Damn he was busy today, three tracks, all for Urban Legacy Vol III. It looks like that is the next album he is going to try to complete as far as recording goes. He re-did "Fight Back" and updated it a little. He recorded it a while back but being that it is a political track, some of the things have changed so he switched up a few lines and redid it. Another political one, "Revolution's Beyond Us" also had to be updated just slightly, it came out hot as hell but may get cut from the album because the sound quality was a little off on it and his vocals crack at parts. The final track of the day will most definitely be on the album, "Another Day Down" and it features Larysa on the chorus. A smooth life song, deep, soulful, incredible. 2008 - September 13 Today Proph recorded the new version of "We Claim One Love" for Lost In The Sands. The new version of the album will be completely on beats outside of the realm of hip hop, just because I told him that he used some weird beats he just has to go and prove me right. The album is turning out incredible. 2008 - September 12 Proph just got back from his second anniversary trip and started blazin' the studio right away. Today he recorded "I Awake In The Night" for the upcoming updated version of the Lost In The Sands album. 2008 - September 6 Two more tracks done today. First was "Killa Instincts" for The Days Of A Knight. A track which was originally done in 2000 with the Bronx/Willimantic rapper Infinite and featured Proph on the middle verse. He worked a few verses and now has three verses on it while Infinite has two, no chorus. The second track of the day was a remix of Miley Cyrus's "Seven Things" in which Proph raps two verses and Miley keeps one verse and the choruses. Crazy track! It is not set to appear on an album but will be up on YouTube and maybe MySpace very soon. 2008 - September 3 Proph just hit the studio again. Today he recorded the Intro for Lost In The Night which completes that album. He also recorded "Born To Become" for Urban Legacy Vol III. Urban Legacy is set up to be 19 songs but they are all running a little long so far so we'll see what P can pull off, he wrote about 30 songs for it. “Born To Become” will definitely appear on the album though. 2008 - August 27 Proph recorded a new version of "Whispers" today, the final song to be done for Beyond The Life, aside from the Intro. The original was recorded back in 2001 or 2002 and he wanted to make it a bit better to fit the rest of the album. This was the first song written for Beyond The Life. It now features a small part sung by Larysa on the chorus. Definitely an album of hit material. 2008 - August 24 Today Proph recorded the intro for Dungeon Of Death II and put it all together. That completes the second Dungeon album. 2008 - August 21 Proph re-recorded the final song for Early grave today. He was never happy with the way "The Chain" came out so he re-did it. The song is an intense three and half minute conversation with his necklace. This completes Early grave. 2008 - August 14 Two songs down today. Proph recorded “Graphite Tears” for Urban Legacy Vol I and “Confessions Of A Man” for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times. “Graphite Tears” did appear on the original Urban Legacy Vol I but Proph felt the title and concept were better than the song as the song was just sort of thrown together so he made an all new version which will appear on the album instead of the old version. He is waiting on Leah Matthews to record the chorus for the song. “Confessions Of A Man” is an old song previously unrecorded and will appear on the first "Days" album. 2008 - August 12 Proph re-recorded “Should I Ask Her” for the Beyond The Life album. He was always unhappy with his two verses on the original because he felt that Larysa and Gambino outshined him by too much, now he thinks they only outshined him by a little. A great love song about building up the courage to ask someone out. 2008 - August 11 Proph recorded the last song for Early Grave today entitled “One More Night” featuring Leah Matthews on the chorus. It is a sad love song from the point of view of a recently deceased boyfriend. 2008 - August 8 Proph did the updated version of “Love And Leave” for the Dead In A Dream album today. He wasn't happy with the original version so had Leah Matthews sing the chorus and he wrote three new verses for it instead of using the old ones. This is a really hot and inspirational song to all women. 2008 - August 5 Proph recorded "Mafia Style" today, the last song to be recorded for Dungeon II, it features verses from Rahmael and NYF. Originally it appeared as the last track on the Proph and NYF Collabo album, The Original Kingdom. It was to feature Rahmael but the master tape ran out of room so for years it was just left as Proph and NYF. Now the song is done as it was meant to be done and Proph did a new verse for it. The intro for the album is half way done but needs some more interview segments for it before its complete. 2008 - August 1 Proph did three tracks today, all for Dungeon II. He recorded the solo track, “Face To Face Too” which features Larysa on the chorus, a sequel to “Face To Face” which appeared as the last song on the first Dungeon Of Death. He also did “After The Tears (Remix)” which features Larysa on the chorus and Concept and the returning Assailant each on a verse. He also recorded the “Another Chapter (Remix)” which features a verse from NYF. All three tracks are incredible. This leaves one more track to be recorded for Dungeon II and the intro. It will hit the streets by the end of the month. 2008 - July 15 Today Proph recorded two more for Dungeon Of Death II, "Price Of Life" with Genero (C Wrtie) and "Put Ya Guns Up" with No Nucks (Gambino). “Price Of Life” was a song for Genero's unreleased album and they just talk about the price we pay to live our lives over a Mobb Deep instrumental. “Put Ya Guns Up” was one of the hit tracks off of No Nucks' "The Best Kept Secret" album. They planned on doing a remix originally with Muru (Presy Jay) on it but never got around to it so Proph did the remix without him and just kept Gambino's verses the same and added one of his own in there. A really hot track and Proph doubles up on this one for half the verse. 2008 - July 13 Proph was busy today, three tracks, all for Dungeon II. He remade Advokate's "Look In My Eyes", his first solo track. Proph took out his middle verse and added a new verse in which he raps fast as hell, this is definitely something to watch out for. Advokate now uses the name D-Bricks and can be found on Soundclick. He also did an updated version of "Never Walk", an old Genero song for his album that never came out. Proph took out a Genero verse, added one of his own in the middle and made a tight track even better. Genero now uses the name C Write and reps the G.O.D. clique. He also recorded his verse for a new song called D.N.A. (Deadliest Niggaz Alive). This is an interesting song, he took a song that G.O.D. did on this beat and a song that G.O.D. founding member Rahmael did on this beat and put them together, adding a verse of his own in there. Back in 2001 when G.O.D. was getting too big they were all going to start a group called DNA so G.O.D. would just stay the four members and everyone else would be part of DNA instead. All of the rappers on this track were going to be DNA. 2008 - July 8 Proph finished "Mess With The Best" today for Dungeon II with the former Royal Kingdom artist Perceval. Originally it was Perceval's first solo song set for Dungeon II that never dropped so Proph took out one of Perceval's verses and added a new one of his own. 2008 - June 28 Only a few days away from the Proph Daily launch. The site is myspace.com/prophdaily. 2008 - June 24 Proph's back in the studio putting the final touches on another new song, this one for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times. It's a hard ass street track called “Who's Next” and features a verse from Gambino/No Nucks. This makes 18 for the "Biblical Times" double disc set. 2008 - June 24 It's 1:00 in the afternoon and Proph just finished recording another track for Dungeon II. This one is a track about a girl alongside Muru and Concept, a reworking of a previously unreleased Muru track. 2008 - June 23 Proph dropped a couple of tracks today. He is trying to focus primarily on Dungeon Of Death II right now. He just finished recording a new version of “Street Convictionz“, a classic Concept track. He also completed a remixed version of “Gimme The Streets”, a street banger with Gambino, formerly No Nucks. They each spit two verses and Nucks holds it down on the chorus. 2008 - June 17 So here is the new street team player for Proph and Royal Kingdom. I am Justin and I am going to give all who love this page new material from Proph. So get ready for Songs, Poems, Interviews and more. See Ya 2marrow. One June 10, 2008 I just finished recording the 17th track for Biblical Times. In 2000-2001 Maega/Big Man and myself were collectively known as Murder Clout, "Who Can We Trust" was an incomplete song so I left Maega's chorus and the beat and threw a couple of verses on it from that time period and left a few of Maega's vocals on as well so we actually go bar for bar on a few parts. Some of that more harder gangsta shit. June 8, 2008 Today I recorded "Know Your Enemy" (feat. NYF) for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times, a political themed song over a west coast beat. I also wrote what will most likely be the first half of 600 Lives, the sixth installment of my punchline tracks with no chorus, so far it is at 2:50 and will most likely end up being roughly 5 minutes. June 4, 2008 Today I recorded "Hide Away" for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times. It features Ralph on the chorus. This makes fifteen songs recorded for that double album. I also wrote a song today and finished writing another one, both untitled as of yet. May 28, 2008 Whoa it's been a minute man. Well here we go... Over the past few months I've been writing material for The Sands Of Time, The Dungeon Of Death II and tons of random stuff. The albums I was working on of old previously un-recorded material in The Days Of A Knight series have now all become double CDs. This will make a three album set of double CDs, In Biblical Times, The Age Of The Prophet and The Night Ends. As of right now In Biblical Times consists of 36 tracks and features most of the biggest names to ever rep the Kingdom. In the past week I recorded Through The Night, New Crown (feat Maega), Certified Terminators (feat G.O.D.), Live And Pray (feat Jaekwon), Live Playa (feat G.O.D.), Never Cry (feat Concept) and I Want U (feat Rahmael). There will also now be a Dungeon Of Death III and another Royal Kingdom compilation, Till Kingdom Come. 2007 Nov. 14, 2007 I recorded a new version of "If Only She Was Mine" for Lost In The Life today. I was never happy with the original version which was on a slow beat and I sang the chorus myself which never sounds too great so the new one is on an upbeat Spanish instrumental and I rap the chorus. That finishes up Lost In The Life, I just wanted to re-record that one track and a bonus one from that time period was added to it. The original album was from 2002 and is a collection of songs that were cut from Dead In A Dream and Beyond The Life. Nov. 8, 2007 I have decided to scrap the idea of making a bonus album of previously unreleased songs for every one of my albums. Some of the songs have been added to the actual album to make it a track or two longer and where there wasn't room for that, most of the other songs were added to the "Days Of A Knight" or "Lost" series. As a result of this, "Lost In A Dream" has been completed and "The Days Of A Knight: The Age Of The Prophet" is also near completion as far as the writing portion goes. I plan on making about five more albums as Proph before I quit. There will be the second installment of The Days Of A Knight series titled The Age Of The Prophet, The Sands Of Time II, Urban Legacy Vol. IV and two other albums I have not decided on yet. I've been writing a lot recently but not for any particular album, just writing songs and verses at work. I am also writing a bunch of verses for the Dungeon Of Death II compilation including quite a few remix versions of old Royal Kingdom artist’s songs, some of the artists include Gambino, Concept, C Leon, Muru, Advokate and Rahmael. I will begin recording those songs any day now. July 24, 2007 I recorded "Fool's Game" for The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical times. It's about the music industry and how it works and these rappers aren't what they claim to be. July 20, 2007 I recorded "Made Myself" for the up coming Urban Legacy Vol. III album. It concentrates on people becoming who they want to become and making myself at the same time I made Royal Kingdom. June 13, 2007 The other day I recorded "My Eyes For Her", the new version with Ralph singing the chorus. Other than the chorus the rest of the song is pretty much the same as the original recording with a few words taken out and a few new ones added in. It will appear on Urban Legacy Vol. I. June 6, 2007 I did the fourth recording of "Love Again" for Urban Legacy Vol. I. This one I will master and put on CD right away so I don't lose it again. On the original version that appeared on the album I sang the chorus but hated it so Ralph does the chorus on this one, he's a bit better than I am, lol. Now it's hit quality. May 31, 2007 I have started work on a new album, The Days Of A Knight: In A Prophet's Age. It is the follow up to The Days Of A Knight: In Biblical Times and it consists primarily of songs written but unrecorded during 2003-2005. May 30, 2007 Proph's Back! I re-recorded my first song today, "Paranoid" from the Early Grave album. I had already recorded it but when the recorder broke, that was one of the many lost songs. I still have to add the effects on it and the outro but all of that is done on the computer. That leaves one more song to record on Early Grave and it's another album under my belt. Jan. 22, 2007 I've been taking some time off lately. The recorder is in the shop right now and I haven't recorded anything on the portable lately. I've been working on poetry and short stories, haven't written a song in a few months now but I'll be back soon, I promise. 2006 Nov. 14, 2006 Just wanted to let ya'll know that I haven't disappeared. I haven't recorded or written any songs lately, I've actually been working on memoirs for each album and extensive song descriptions. I am currently working on the memoirs for Urban Legacy I and have completed them for Rumorz Of War but still have to write about each individual song. Oct. 20, 2006 Just finished recording "As It Slips Away" for Urban Legacy III which features Ralph on the chorus. It's a slow song over a piano and violin and has no drum beat. Oct 6, 2006 Today I recorded "Rain Down" for Urban Legacy Vol. III. It was supposed to come out being a short song but ended up being 3:45. I wrote it with the intention to put it on the UL3 bonus disc but it could still possibly wind up on the album. Oct 5, 2006 I recently got my new portable recorder and dropped my first song on it today. I did "Overcome" for a currently unknown album. It is scheduled right now to appear on a Knights album titled Equinox but plans may still change. It is on a VTZ instrumental, we plan on using his beats for every song on this album as of now. Sept 30, 2006 Sorry it's taken so long to post anything, my computer was not letting me get onto the site. Unfortunately my recorder has passed away, about a week ago it decided to stop turning on. I have a new portable pocket studio coming in the mail right now so I will be recording again very soon. Of course this means I will have to re- re- re-record Love Again because the songs on the recorder are lost. Aug 26, 2006 Today I married my best friend. Life is too short not to spend every day with her as my wife. The wedding was amazing with some of my best friends not only in attendance but standing beside me as we tied the knot on the shore of Graham Lake in Ellsworth Maine. Tomorrow morning we leave for CT to catch a flight to Florida for our honeymoon cruise. Then its back to college and work. Aug 12, 2006 While down in CT for Rene and Francise's wedding, I began reassembling the knights. We've been at odds with each other for long enough, it's time to put family back together. With any luck both Jeff and Justin will be in my wedding in a couple weeks and the rest of the crew will be in attendance. We also visited Cynthia's grave for the first time. Aug 1, 2006 Well I re re-recorded "Love Again" today and it actually came out better than the other redone version and this one did not get erased, I did however take my chances and recorded it right before a thunderstorm came though. I got all the verses on here on the first try. July 28, 2006 Yesterday I re-recorded "Love Again" for Urban Legacy Vol. I with Ralph replacing me on the chorus. However, today the song was erased when the power went out, even though the song was saved. Looks like I'll be re re-doing this one. July 14, 2006 While in CT I got together with Ralph while he was back in the U.S. We recorded a bunch of choruses for various albums including "My Eyes For Her" and "Love Again" both revised for Urban Legacy Vol. I. We also did "Knight Forever" and "As It Slips Away" for Urban Legacy Vol. II and "Until I Die" and "My Destiny" for Dead In A Dream II. He also sang on "Lost For Words" for The Days Of A Knight album to replace my chorus. July 1, 2006 Today I recorded "Chasin' My Life" and "Fight Back", both for Urban Legacy Vol. III. Chasin' My Life is a calm song about chasing dreams and Fight Back is an amped up, loud, anti political song about fighting back against your oppressor, whomever it may be. June 9, 2006 Today I recorded "Just Another Block" for Urban Legacy Vol. III. That's the third track recorded for the album, twenty written. I will probably write another ten and pick the cuts that'll make the album. June 5, 2006 Today I recorded the second song for Urban Legacy Vol. III, "If They Only Knew The Half". It's about people here in Maine not really knowing me, only seeing one part of who I am. June 4, 2006 Today I recorded "Murder They Wrote" for Urban Legacy Vol. III. It's a political song attacking the government and certain groups of people, very controversial material and one hell of a song. June 1, 2006 Today I recorded the Heat Of The Moment Intro for the album. It's a two page verse/spoken word followed by a short monologue over a dark opera piece. (P.S. Sorry for not posting anything lately, I was in a car accident in early May and haven't been able to work on music since then.) April 23, 2006 Last night I finished up writing a song called "Made Myself" about becoming who I wanted to become regardless of anything else. And today I recorded "Soldier In War", the eighth track for The Days Of A Knight album. April 19, 2006 I finished writing another song for Urban Legacy Vol. III today called "Just Another Block". It's written on an AZ instrumental called Street Life. In the song I talk about living in the streets and how we never realize we need to change until it's too late. April 14, 2006 The "Photo Gallery" part of the site is now up and running. The pictures are hosted by Photobucket, just click on the link and then the set of pictures you want to look at. April 4, 2006 Today I recorded "Inner Peace" for Early Grave and "True" for Urban Legacy Vol. II. The revised edition of Legacy II is now complete and Early Grave only needs one more track. April 2, 2006 Today the promo CD was released. It is a fourteen track sampler for my music that is being given out for free. It contains seven songs and seven snippet tracks for my albums. It is available at Bullmoose Music in Bangor on the front table. March 25, 2006 Today I recorded two songs for Early Grave, "Unanswered Prayers" and "Too Late To Cry". March 24, 2006 Today I re-recorded "Close My Eyes To Dream" for Urban Legacy Vol. II. It's over an Evanescence instrumental and has a rock chorus. March 20, 2006 Today I recorded another track for Early Grave, a song called "Paranoid" about my girl cheating on me and going to confront her about it. The story has a surprise ending also. March 19, 2006 Today I recorded "Everything You Really Need" for Early Grave. It's a love song over a dark guitar instrumental, it was actually the first song written for the album. Hit material. March 16, 2006 Today I recorded another one for Early Grave called "Let Me Fall". It's from the point of view of my teardrops, trying to convince me to cry. March 12, 2006 Today I recorded "The Last Second" for Early Grave. It was one of the songs I had to figure out what beat it went to and I finally found the right one. It's about committing suicide but pulling the gun away at the last second. March 6, 2006 Today I recorded "Shadows" and "Time After Time" for the Early Grave. "Shadows" is a song about my past haunting me and I fight with it, the second verse is from the shadows point of view and in the third we argue. I used a deep dark voice because no effects were sounding quite right on it. "Time After Time" is an angry song about people taking and taking but never giving back, yet still expecting more. March 5, 2006 Today I recorded "Death Of A Don" for Early Grave. This song comes after I die on the album and is like a parade through the streets, celebrating and mourning my death. In it I talk about why we kill each other, our purposes in life and death and how it feels to see people's reaction to your passing. March 4, 2006 Today I recorded "Another Lonely Tombstone" and "Please Forgive Me" for the Early Grave album. "Another Lonely Tombstone" is from the point of view of my tombstone when I'm dead, to me it is a very sad song, very painful and true. "Please Forgive Me" is one long verse, no chorus where I ask forgiveness from everyone I feel I have ever wronged. I use names in this one which makes it even more real, it is a very emotional song. March 2, 2006 I just finished recording "The Studio's A Tomb" for the Early Grave album. I got most of it on video camera but it ran out of room like always. That song is about the old Dungeon studio, where Royal Kingdom started and ended and it touches on the history of it and what it meant to everyone who ever worked in it. Jan. 30, 2006 I finished writing a song today entitled "Let 'Em Go" which is about letting go of friends you don't need, questions that can not be answered and all preconceived notions. Jan. 29, 2006 Today I recorded "The Chain" and "Downpour" for the Early Grave album. "The Chain" is a song in which I have a conversation with my necklace and "Downpour" is a dark song about constantly living in rainy conditions and waiting for the sun to shine. Jan. 7, 2006 Today I recorded "Another Page" for the Early Grave album. It is the third out of 19 songs I have recorded for it so far. The song is about running out of rhymebook pages and always needing to write more. God it feels good to be back on the mic spitting that hot shit! Jan. 6, 2006 Today I finished a song I started writing on Jan. 2. "If They Only Knew The Half" is about people not really knowing who I am up here in Maine and wondering what they would think if they saw my past. Jan. 5, 2006 Today I recorded "Blind Sometimes" for Lost In The Night. It is a two verse love song, one of my old partners Pathologic was supposed to do the middle verse but we didn't record the song before we had our falling out (his verse wasn't good enough anyway) so I left it as my two verses and a chorus. Jan. 2, 2006 In the past week I have written a few songs, all for Urban Legacy Vol III. One was a song about a girl I know going through a hard relationship which I called "Broken Smile" and it will be recorded on a country beat by Keith Urban. I also wrote a punchlines track entitled "Bring It Still", I have not picked a beat for it yet. I wrote a political song, "Revolution's Beyond Us", on a Black Market Militia instrumental. I also did a song called "If They Only Knew The Half" which is about people knowing me but not really knowing who I am and where I've been. 2005 Dec. 15. 2005 Today I recorded my verse for a song entitled "Remember Our Names" with Muru and Concept. They laid their verses back in 2004 and I used one of my verses from that time period to finish it off. It was originally supposed to feature myself and No Nucks but we never got around to doing our part. At this time it is not scheduled to appear on any particular album but will most likely end up on the Urban Legacy Vol. II bonus disc. Dec. 14, 2005 I recorded "Lost Bodies" today for The Days Of A Knight album. I have two verses and one of my old partners in rhyme, NYF has the third verse. The song was originally started for his solo album back in 2002 but was never completed. Nov. 29, 2005 Today I recorded "Mercy" for The Days Of A Knight album. The 3 verses were written back in 2000 so I had to do a little re-adjusting in order to make them fit the beat but it worked. Nov. 22, 2005 I recorded "Lost For Words" for The Days Of A Knight album. That makes five songs completed for it and there are close to 20 written so a few will probably be cut. The album will probably include an intro and a poem interlude. Nov. 18, 2005 I recorded "A Warrior's Life" today for the remastered version of Urban Legacy Vol. II. Kari videotaped most of the recording session and she also raps the chorus at the end of the song with me and although she isn't a rapper, it sounded great and was actually the first time a female appeared rapping on one of my songs. This is also one of my only tracks that I did not dub over the vocals on (for those who don't know, dubbing is when you rap parts of your verse on top of eachother). Nov. 1, 2005 Today I turned 22 years old. I'm going to take a break from music for a few days and go back to CT to spend some time with my family. I have a cold anyway so I wouldn't be able to record, hopefully when I get back it'll be gone. Oct. 29, 2005 I recorded the fourth track for The Days Of A Knight album entitled " The Mystery". It was written back in May of 2000 and was the title track for the unreleased Mystery Of Man album. I recorded it on RZA's "Tragedy" instrumental. The song touches on different aspects of mankind from the scientific to the religious to the way we are living. Oct. 21, 2005 I have finally gotten my music program up and running again and all the beats are back in the correct place and are once again operational. The program and computer have been down since early July this year. Oct. 10, 2005 Another one written for Urban Legacy Vol. III. The yet to be titled track discusses America's war on drugs and the truth and reasoning behind it. This one is just relaying the information in rhyme form, not an easy thing to do to say the least. Did you know that there are more people locked up for marijuana offenses than murder, rape, assault and robbery combined? Oct. 8, 2005 I wrote a song named "Rain Down", it's one verse about 2:30 long with a chorus at the end of it. I wrote it on Killarmy's "Blood For Blood" beat. I'm not sure what album this will end up on but it's got some deep stuff in it. Oct. 3, 2005 Work on Urban Legacy Vol. III is under way. On this one I plan to go back to my old style of writing albums and do about 30 songs or so and pick the ones I want to go on the album. Today I wrote another politically active song entitled "Murder They Wrote" on Tragedy Khadafi's "Walk Wit Me" instrumental. Sept.21, 2005 The 32nd song for Dead In A Dream II was written. It is entitled "My Downfall" on P. Diddy's "Satisfy You Remix" instrumental. Sept. 19, 2005 Three songs were recorded for the bootleg album "The Days Of A Knight". The songs include "Ride", "No Hesitation" and "To The One Who Loves Me". This is the first time I have recorded in two months due to computer problems and the moving of the studio. It is now in the furthest room of the house, the larger of the two spare bedrooms. Sept. 16, 2005 The Days Of A Knight album is underway. This album consists of some songs I had written back in 2001-2002 but were never recorded or placed on an album. I have begun looking for beats for the songs and reworking them to fit their new instrumentals. It should end up being roughly 15 songs and although mostly solo, there will be guest appearances by affiliates of the former Royal Kingdom including NYF and Maega. |
